Invite guest speakers to talk about environmental topics at your club events

Why - Involving local organisations is a great way to introduce new people who might not be familiar with your yacht club, sailing programmes or events and provides an opportunity for people to connect with the wider community. Pulling together expertise already present in your community, whether it be your local aquarium, farmer’s market, waste management facility or art gallery, will help you achieve your sustainability goals and further educate club members.
 

How – Be creative. Look for speakers who will relate to your audience and capture their attention. 

There are a huge number of people within our communities who are passionate about the environmental work and research they are do. Reach out and invite them to share their knowledge.
